These entries are from e-mail, online book lists, and the bibliographies included in books and papers. This will always be a work in progress in that I am constantly adding to it and correcting it. I welcome any additions or corrections you can contribute and thank everyone who has already sent me contributions, in particular one correspondent who has made numerous contributions but wishes to remain anonymous.
A bibliography of journal articles on autism would be valuable but would be much longer: it would not surprise me if there are 10,000 such articles. I will leave it to others to tackle such a list (I believe The Indiana Resource Center for Autism maintains such a list as does the Autism Research Unit of the University of Sunderland , England). I would not mind assembling a list of the 20 or 50 most valuable articles if I knew how to choose them.
I welcome short descriptions of and opinions on the books. Opinions are generally included like this: "Reader: great book on educational issues."
