Scammers targeting online daters are breaking hearts and
draining bank accounts from bases in Russia, Eastern Europe, America, the UK and elsewhere in the world. The scammers typically play on the victim’s emotions, professing their love and gaining the victim’s trust before asking for money.
Below is the sad story of the victim of a super-scammer: a highly advanced Russian scammer who duped this man out of $3,625 and broke his heart. Following are the actual letters sent by another Russian scammer to another unsuspecting victim in the United States who was scammed out of $1,200. Notice there was less than a month between “Hello!” and “How Much”.
