If you’re like me and consider yourself a little PYT (pretty young thang)…corny I know, the thought of dating a man five or more years older than you may seem generationally awkward, and it can be sometimes. Still, while you may not listen to the same music or you might be divided on what you consider the ‘latest trends’, there are plenty of perks in dating an older man. If you haven’t tried it, you should at least consider it for the future based on the following reasons
Usually when a man is much older than you, he has himself together financially. Or at least he should. If he’s substantially older, he’s had time to learn a lesson or two about saving and making money while many younger guys are still learning.
He’s seasoned. He’s broken a few hearts, had his heart broken and probably dealt with many types of emotions when it comes to relationships. Older guys usually have a better handle on their emotions than younger guys. And while you’re still learning how to deal with your feelings, he’s able to help you as opposed to being all up in his own.
