I can’t get the paint to dry. It keeps running and I keep turning the bottle but when I turn it upright, the paint just slides off the bottle into the bottom but it still hasn’t dried. I used acrylic craft paint.
I’m having this same problem! Have we just not let enough of the excess paint drip out in the first place? The wine bottle I tried to paint looks good for a day or so, but then the still-wet paint slides off the sides of the bottle (leaving not-so-pretty streaks) and puddles at the bottom. I might try glass paint instead of acrylic. I hope to have a nice, evenly-coated painted bottle some day! Any advice would be appreciated. 🙂
I used latex paint and it worked well. I would imagine thinner paints wouldn’t work as well I know when I’m painting and I use the cheap acrylic craft paint, red is always sort of slippery and see-through and drives me crazy.
